 We endeavour to make the website of the Court of Arbitration for Nazi-Looted Cultural Property accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Act on Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz – BGG) and the Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung – BITV 2.0), which implements Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

State of compliance with requirements

The accessibility requirements arise from sections 3(1) to (4) and section 4 of BITV 2.0, issued on the basis of section 12d BGG.

Compliance with these requirements was assessed by means of a self-assessment carried out in November 2025. An external review to complement the self-assessment is planned. This Accessibility Statement will be updated once the external review has been completed.

Based on the results of the assessment, this website is partially compliant with the above-mentioned requirements due to the following incompatibilities. 

The content listed below is not fully accessible for the following reasons:

·       We currently do not provide any content in German Sign Language.

·       PDF documents are not yet consistently accessible, for example because they are historical documents.

·       Sufficiently descriptive alternative text is currently not available for some images and graphics.
